Dorchester Collection launches new online shop

Dorchester Collection has launched a new online shop which allows users to purchase gifts and signature experiences from all ten iconic Dorchester Collection hotels at one time.

Press Release DistributionDorchester Collection – 13/04/2015: Available through Dorchester Collection’s website, the online shop provides an easy to navigate user experience; guests can filter search results by hotel, item and price points. A notable benefit is the ability for users to create a mixed basket of items selected from the various hotels before proceeding to checkout. The new digital shopping platform, in a first for the luxury hospitality industry, will also accept Bitcoin payments.

Items for sale in the online shop include a variety of signature products, often sought-after by guests as mementos of their stays such as memorable fragrance candles from Hôtel Plaza Athénée, Paris; bath towels and bed linens from Hotel Bel-Air, Los Angeles and pillows from The Dorchester, London.

In addition, users can opt to purchase Dorchester Collection experiences in the form of gift cards, delivered to loved ones in presentation boxes or alternatively, they are also available to purchase in a digital format and can be emailed to the recipient when time is of the essence. As a ‘thank you’, to celebrate holidays, birthdays and anniversaries, or simply to treat someone special, they are an inspired choice for every occasion. These include renowned experiences such as afternoon tea at The Dorchester, a romantic dinner at the rooftop restaurant at Hotel Eden or a relaxing treatment at the award winning Spa at Coworth Park.

Furthermore, monetary eGift cards are available to purchase online in a choice of value ranging from £50 to £5,000 and can also be purchased in USD and Euros. These eGift cards can be personalised by selecting from a range of designs to suit a variety of occasions with the option to add a bespoke message. They are valid across all ten hotels within the collection as payment for any of the hotels’ luxury products and services such as memorable over-night stays in the Presidential Suite with private pool at Hotel Principe di Savoia, Milan; expertly mixed cocktails in fashionable bars such as The Bar at 45 Park Lane, London; dine on the famed McCarthy salad at the Polo Lounge at
The Beverly Hills Hotel or relax with a soothing Valmont spa treatment at Le Meurice, Paris.

Responding to market changes Dorchester Collection has integrated innovative payment solution Bitcoin, allowing online customers the option of paying with this digital currency.

Dorchester Collection’s vice president for sales and marketing, Helen Smith, comments: ‘The user-friendly shopping journey and the ability to select multiple hotels’ items, will allow visitors of the online shop to discover those signature gifts and experiences that Dorchester Collection is renowned for.’
