Seagulls take offence to green energy solution

Operations Director Cliff Eccles Pestokill Pest Control, was called to help resolve a Seagull problem on newly fitted solar panels at a factory in the south west.

The Seagulls took offence to their own reflection in the panels and literally bombed away, soon covering the panels with their droppings.

The <Birds of a Feather falconry team were called in to initially clear away the offending birds using their predatory instinct’s.

A specialist non stretch polythene suspended net is being produced by the Birds of a feather team to provide long term protection for the panels, without restricting the solar energy process.

Cliff said ‘The problem was a new one for the team, who had to consider all options including bio-acoustic distress systems, however in the end the net was considered the best long term solution.

The Falconry team will be needed to Safe Guard the installers in case the Seagulls return during the installation’.

Pestokills ‘Birds of a Feather’ division solve bird infestations with falconry, bio-acoustic systems, physical deterrents and new fire gel product at shopping centres, railway stations, hotels, Industrial premises and public areas across the UK.
